Students who don’t have the prerequisites or who aren’t admitted directly into the BSN program can continue to pursue their nursing career with the pre-nursing major. This program is designed to prepare students for entry into the BSN program.

Our Teacher Residency program with New Heights Charters is an innovative and accelerated program centered around a year-long student-teaching placement.

The MFA in producing for film and television is a 43-unit terminal MFA degree that can be completed in two years. It is designed specifically for individuals who wish to fully immerse themselves in all aspects of producing film and television assets. Students will learn how content is developed, pitched and sold to networks and studios.

The curriculum will provide students with both the technical foundation skills and critical thinking tools that will help students shape their own unique visions. The program integrates liberal arts, ethics and professional business practices with a core photography and media production curriculum that prepares students for the creative, business and technical challenges of a professional photography career.

Students will work with industry-recognized photographers in preparation for the creative and technical challenges of a professional photography career.

The minor in photography at Ë®¹ûÅÉ gives students in any major the opportunity to complement their studies with a well-rounded survey of photographic courses.

This program is for students who want to learn about how and why human beings act the way they do. Students will graduate ready to serve their communities as informed citizens or go onto graduate school. Aligned to American Psychological Association standards, the curriculum emphasizes the breadth and depth of psychological theory.

Ë®¹ûÅÉ’s minor in Psychology helps students understand human behavior and mental processes. The minor provides students with the flexibility to see the relevance and applicability of psychological principles in everyday life.

Divided into five categories, this program focuses on scripture, Christian thought, Christian ethics, religion, and religions and special offerings. Exploring diverse religious traditions that affect individuals, cultures and societies gives students the opportunity to better understand the world.

As part of a traditional Catholic higher educational institution, the Weekend/Evening & Online College at Mount Saint Mary’s is a leading choice for those seeking to earn a degree in religious studies. Earning a degree in religious studies can provide the solid foundation for not only a professional career, but also for graduate study in theology or religion.

This program is designed for students who have already earned their RN license. The degree program is online, making it easier for students to continue their education on their own schedule. In as few as three semesters, students can graduate with a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. Approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses and accredited by the Collegiate Commission on Nursing Education.

The MFA in Screenwriting is a joint degree between the Creative Writing and the Film, Television and Photography programs. It is designed to produce versatile and self-sufficient students and encourage artistic expression, critical-thinking and ethical responsibility in media.

With a secondary single subject credential, students can concurrently earn their teaching credential while majoring in the academic subject they plan to teach.

This minor provides students an opportunity to examine sexual diversity and religious discourse through the lens of social justice, as expressed in the Catholic intellectual tradition.
