Submit your on-campus housing deposit

Submit your $200 housing deposit in your to gain access to the application when it opens.
The housing application for Fall 2026 will open in late spring. Please keep an eye out for information in your Ë®¹ûÅÉ email.

Schedule your placement exam
Incoming traditional undergraduate first-year students are required to take the English and Math Placement Exam. Transfer students who do not have college-level English and/or Math are also required to complete the Placement Exam. This exam places students at the appropriate course level for their first semester at the Mount.

If you are currently enrolled in AP course(s) and have not yet completed the AP exam(s), you must sign up and complete the Placement Exam.

During this appointment, you will be guided into the courses for your first year, learn more about your major, and gain support as you transition to the Mount. (Note- you can make an advisement appointment prior to taking the placement exam)
If you're unable to meet with an advisor soon, advisement will be available on Friday, June 26th at the Athenian Experience.
Students interested in changing their major can do so through admission before the Fall 2026 semester starts in their .
Register Full-Time for Fall classes
After your advisement appointment, you will register for courses for the upcoming academic year. Please keep in mind that new students cannot register until they have met with an (M)POWER Academic Advisor & Success Coach or Faculty Advisor.
You must enroll in at least 12 units for the Fall semester to be considered a full-time student, to view an accurate bill and complete other important steps leading up to your first semester, including housing.
Waive your Ë®¹ûÅÉ health insurance
If you already have health insurance in LA County, you may be eligible to waive your Ë®¹ûÅÉ student health insurance. Waivers can be submitted through the . Please allow five business days after registering for classes (at least 9 units) to access the waiver site. You will be charged for Ë®¹ûÅÉ health insurance until your waiver is approved. Requests should be submitted as soon as possible to avoid charges but no later than week three of the Fall 2026 semester.

Review and pay your balance

First-Year students must submit an official final high school transcript with graduation date and all official college transcripts, including dual enrollment courses.
Transfer students must submit official final college transcripts. Those also submitting high school transcripts must ensure the official transcript is sent by a school official or an approved transcript service.
Transcripts can be sent electronically through an approved transcript request agency (e.g. Parchment). If emailed, transcripts must be sent directly by the transcript request agency or issuing institution to admissions@msmu.edu.
